The Carroll County Travel Basketball League has opened registration for the 2022-2023 season.
The league is open to both girls and boys in grades 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. The 10-game regular season will start December 3 and will go until February 18. Games will be played on Saturdays (excluding 12/24 and 12/31). Playoffs for the top four teams will be on February 25. If a week is lost due to inclement weather, games will be made up on February 25 and playoffs will be on March 4.
Players must be on the roster by the second game of the season and have filled out the online waiver. There are a maximum of 15 players allowed on each team and players may not be double-rostered on two teams within the same grade division.
Some divisions will cut off at 10 teams. Teams are available on a first come first serve basis. It is $750 to participate, and that price includes referee fees.
Each team will need to provide a volunteer to keep the book OR clock, so there will be two volunteers needed at every game. Assistant coaches will be asked to keep score if there are no volunteers.
The locations that will be used are Coppermine 4 Seasons, Coppermine Pantherplex or Coppermine Sportsman’s Hall. Games will be two 20-minute running halves with the clock stopping ONLY the last two minutes of each half.
