Program Overview

Our littlest athletes start soccer with Lil’ Kickers to build self-esteem and confidence through a proven childhood development curriculum. Young athletes will benefit from Player Development, and Futsal. Elite athletes can compete in our leagues, high-level clinics, and within our Coppermine Soccer Club. Additional soccer programming is available for Birthday Parties (ages 3+), Private Lessons/Training (ages 6+), and the Coppermine Futures Academy (ages 4+).

Coppermine is thrilled to make learning soccer simple, safe, and fun with Lil’ Kickers. Our high-energy, coed youth soccer classes build self-esteem and confidence based on a proven child development curriculum.

WHAT TO WEAR & BRING Please have your child wear comfortable athletic clothes, sneakers, and bring a labeled water bottle. (50-minute class) All balls and equipment are provided for a great class!

BUNNIES
18 – 24 Months (Parent/Child)
Bunnies is a fun introduction to the Lil’ Kickers program but is not a required starting point. Together, toddlers and parents explore basic soccer and movement skills. Activities with bubbles, parachutes, cones and other sensory materials build skills for balance, coordination, running, kicking, and changing directions, all of which are building blocks needed for playing soccer!

THUMPERS
25 – 35 Months (Parent/Child)
Kick it with us! Together, toddlers and parents play organized games to build self-esteem and confidence while developing listening skills. Thumpers further build core movements like balance, coordination, and timing, which are skills necessary for mastering a soccer ball. Thumpers is a perfect introduction to Lil’ Kickers for new players who are just barely three years old.

COTTONTAILS
2½ – 3½ Years (Parent/Child)
This class is designed for children who are ready for more of a challenge, but who are not quite ready to be on the field without a parent/guardian. Cottontails offers a fun and engaging environment where children can build fundamental skills such as balance, coordination, and ball skills while having fun.

HOPPERS
3 – 4 Years
Three and four year-olds are exposed to the most popular sport in the world in this fun and fast-paced class. Hoppers focuses on foot-eye coordination, dribbling, scoring, and balance. Creative storylines and animated coaches keep kids engaged, having fun, and creates teammates who are coachable and eager to learn.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
4 – 10 Years
Player Development is perfect for those looking for a more competitive soccer environment and small sided games to enhance their soccer skills. Training focuses on skill development while perfecting the fundamentals of proper passing, dribbling, and shooting techniques. Players are divided up based on skill level as we prepare them for Rec & Club Soccer.

FUTURES ACADEMY
6-11 Years
A 4 week recreational development program for future Coppermine players not ready for club soccer but want to play and train the Coppermine way.

6-11 Years
A 4 week program designed to maximize touches on the ball, master 1v1 skills, improve speed of play, and ultimately increase a players confidence handling the ball in all situations.

GOALKEEPER ACADEMY

8-14 Years
a 4 week program designed to teach and reinforce the fundamentals of Goalkeeping. Keepers will participate in sessions focused on player development including footwork, catching, diving, angle play, the proper warm-up, crosses, communication and more.

A 4 week recreational development program for future Coppermine players. Not ready for club soccer but want to play and train the Coppermine way? Coppermine Futures is a development-based program designed for players to learn the game, have fun, and prepare for entry into the club program. This is an individual skill-based program with small, sided scrimmages at the end of practice.

Ball Mastery is a 4 week program designed to maximize touches on the ball, master 1v1 skills, improve speed of play, and ultimately increase a players confidence handling the ball in all situations. Players should have some experience playing soccer and want to continue developing their first touch and 1v1 skills.

Location: Coppermine Sports Center

A 4 week program designed to teach and reinforce the fundamentals of Goalkeeping. Keepers will participate in sessions focused on player development including footwork, catching, diving, angle play, the proper warm-up, crosses, communication and more. Keepers will leave sessions with the knowledge and drills necessary to develop a mastery of goalkeeping.

Week One – Footwork, Catching, The Warm-up, Low-ball diving, Angle Play

Week Three – Crosses, Boxing, 1v1, Break a way technique
